The Institute of Computer Science is a part of Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at Pedagogical University of Krakow. The scientific and research activities of the Institute are oriented on both strictly information processing areas like pattern recognition, machine learning, cryptography, applied mathematics, problems of the technology enhanced learning and interdisciplinary fields as robotics, biometrics and biomedical engineering.

 

The Institute of Computer Science consists of five research laboratories:

  • Department of Computer Physics and Quantum Informatics
  • Department of Mathematical Modeling and Simulation
  • Department of Educational Research and New Media
  • Department of Signal Processing and Pattern Recognition
  • Department of Cryptography and Cognitive Computer Science

 
 

A total of 42 academic teachers are employed at the Institute of Computer Science, most of whom have doctoral or professor degree. Among the academic teachers of the Institute of Computer Science are 14 engineers, as well as 19 lecturers with professional experience gained on the labor market in the IT industry.
